Vacation!!!

We went to Rosemary Beach, Florida a couple of weeks ago with Chris' family! It was such a good vacation! We had so much fun at the beach and the pool, and just relaxing at the house with not much to do! It was a really long trip; it took us about 13 hours with all the stops for feeding and diaper changes, but Eli did so good! He would eat, play, nap, fuss in 3-4 hour increments. We listened to A LOT of bible songs/nursery rhymes on CD, haha! It's amazing how much that calms him down in the car when he gets fussy. Here are some pictures from our week.

Ready for the road trip!

Eli's first time at the beach! He did really good. The water scared him a little at first (probably because I'm short and kept losing my balance) but he got used to it!

He turned 8 months while we were there! We had to take the Texas puzzle with us to Florida of course =)

Harper had her 3rd birthday while we were there so Aunt Ashley and Uncle Riley did a big group b-day dinner for all the kids birthdays. We sang to Harper and she loved it!

Looking cool ready for the pool! Eli LOVED the pool! He splashed and kicked all around. He loves it when you put him on his tummy and hold him on top of the water so he can "swim"

Eli and Nana...such a sweet picture

And....he's had enough...being outside and swimming wore him out!

This is Chris' cousin Brandon, and his new baby, Rivers. We had to get a picture with Eli and Rivers because we thought they look so much alike! He is a sweet, laid back boy and I loved getting to know him a little bit and spend some time with Brandon and his wife, Mary-Kathryn.

Morning snuggles with Aunt Katie

And Uncle J.D.

Being a little stinker

This was TOO FUNNY! Me and Ashley were doing a little workout on the floor and little Rory just hopped down there and started doing it with us. It was the cutest thing ever!

Grammy gave Eli this little tent thing you can use at the beach or pool. We set it up at the pool by our pool chairs and let him play in it. He loved it!

Daddy and Eli =)

Peyton was sweet enough to play with Eli and share his stickers =)

Aunt Ashley and Eli!

My mother and father-in law snuggling on the couch ready for the Blacklist marathon. So sweet!

We decided playing 42 would be a good idea...it's been a long time since I've played (and never played consistently enough to get really good) and Katie had never played. It was pretty interesting LOL. You can see how excited Katie was to learn =) We ended up having a lot of fun!

Uncle Riley could always get a laugh out of E!

Shopped til he dropped

Uncle Brian helping Eli with his standing up

We took Eli down to a little playground they had close by....

As you can tell, he LOVED the swing! Oh my goodness! He was straight up cackling!

Also noteworthy...Eli tried his first cookie! And apparently liked it!

Early morning walk on the beach...it was so nice and quiet!

The whole crew

Being goofballs!

It was such a fun week! A vacation with a baby is a whole new experience for us. Different from any vacation we've ever had (and much harder to get any kind of a tan), but so rewarding and worth it. We enjoyed spending so much time together as a little family!
