11 Months

Monday our little man turned 11 months old. I can't believe it! He is such a sweetheart and brings so much joy to our lives. I can't even remember what our lives were like before he came along. Here are some of his developments over the last month:

  • He has learned to open/close drawers and doors and loves it. Thinks it's hilarious.
  • He LOVES drinking out of straws. He thinks he's so big.
  • He is EATING EATING EATING! He all of a sudden has a ton of interest in food and can put it away! The other night he ate 2 hot dogs! It's so fun to see him try new foods. So far hot dogs are definitely his favorite, but he also loves chicken nuggets.
  • So far, he's not a fan of mac n cheese or grilled cheese sandwiches, which shocks me and Chris because we both love them! He has also started picking through his food to "skip" the veggies
  • He has started saying "uh oh" and it's so funny! Papa T started it one day when he was babysitting and Eli caught on. He just says it randomly in the car or when he's playing haha.
  • Some other things he is saying: "Ba" (in reference to Baxter/Brooklyn or ball), "Bo" (for book) "Da" (daddy) "Mamamama" (any time) and other ramblings all the way to daycare =)
  • He has 7 teeth now - 4 on top and 3 on bottom
  • He points ALL THE TIME! He just walks around pointing at stuff/people he wants to see/touch.
  • He is still a great sleeper (usually 7pm-7am) but isn't napping good at daycare yet. Gonna have to work on that one.
  • He pulled up on October 4th, but we haven't seen him do it again yet.
  • He has started giving me the BEST kisses!! Usually only when I pick him up from daycare though, any other time he's not having any of it ;)
  • He is a little squirt! You can see his little personality (and attitude) coming out more and more every day. He is so sweet and laid back, but also has a little spunk and I love it. So fun to watch him develop.
