Eli-isms Volume II

I just wanted to get down some of the things Eli has been doing and saying recently so I don't forget them. He is talking SO MUCH now! In the last couple of months his vocabulary has really expanded and he can pretty much repeat anything you say (yikes!). It is so fun watching him learn and be able to communicate with us.

• Papa T is now "Pa T"
• CC is back to Kaaaacy (sounds really country). All of a sudden one day (12/31/15), he just started saying Kacy. I think he heard everyone else calling her that and wanted to do the same. And I think he was able to say it then, which helped.
• He went through this phase where he would say "Okaaaay" and it almost sounded sarcastic. He would say it all the time. 
• Chris started doing the blob on Eli (just kind of tackling/crushing him and saying "you can't stop the blob") and then Eli started saying "blob me, blob me" haha
• I love seeing how his face lights up when he sees Ian. I had to leave for the day one time and I had Ian with me. We called Eli to Face Time and he wanted to see Ian and give him a kiss. It was so sweet. 
• For a while when he couldn't say thank you very well, it came out as "Wus." "Wus Daddy" "Wus Mama"  Now it kind of sounds like "wank ou" (you without the y sound)
• He is quite the backseat driver. When we're getting in the car he tells me to sit in the passenger seat and daddy to sit in the driver seat. Then he says "Drive daddy. Turn daddy. Turn mama truck. That way. Drive day. Go fast. Up hill." and on and on. 
• He also tells everyone where to sit when they come over. "Sit right there" "sit ground" "sit blue" (sit in the blue chair, which really he won't let you, he's the only one that gets to sit in blue)
• Concerned about how we and others are getting places. In mamas truck. In Pa T's truck. In BB's truck, etc. 
• For a while, he was making fists up by his chest/face when he wanted to hug Ian or got really excited about something (from PJ Masks (gekko)?)
• Says thank you when you fast forward through commercials or put on a show he likes. Ha! 
• On January 21, 2016 he started saying his name. It was so significant because we had tried and tried to get him to, but he never would. Then when he finally did, he wore it out! I'm Eli! Eli's room, Eli's toy, sit with Eli.  
• If you ask him to do something he'll say "Noooo, I'm fine." One day I asked if he wanted a spanking and he said "Nooooo, I'm fine" Ha! Little squirt!
• He counts to 12 but he always skips 4. The more we try and get him to say it, the worse it is. I think he had trouble saying four at first, but now he's just being ornery.
• He says "sumpin" for something. Gonna check "sumpin" look for "sumpin", need "sumpin"
• When I'm in the other room or he's hiding, he says "Mamaaaa, where are ju?"
• Mickey Mouse is "Pickey Mouse"
• Shoes!! The kid loves his shoes. BB got him some "Paw-trol" shoes and he wore those out, then Nana got him some black crocs and it was "black shoes day, black shoes day" all the time. He goes and gets different pairs out of his room throughout the day and changes them. Haha!
• When he's looking for something he'll say "Hmmm....let's see" wonder where he gets that.
• When he falls he'll say "I'm okay!" before we even ask 
• When I'm holding him sometimes he will put my hair out on both sides and say "Suuuuper mama" I have no idea where he got that
• If you're happy and you know it clap your hands ("Happy" is what Eli calls it). This song. He looooooves this song. He wants it every night when we put him to bed and he always asks for it in the car. He overheard me and Chris saying it was number 6 on the CD in the car so then he started asking for 6. I heard him singing for the first time (which is surprising to me because of how much we all sing in my family) yesterday (2/24/16) and it was "Paw-trol" and "happy"
• He loves the moon. When we go outside he always asks "Where moon go?" and then he'll try to reach for it. Lately he's been saying that Ian, Eli, Mama and Daddy are going in a spaceship to the moon. So cute.
• He always tries to carry Ian's car seat, and he grunts while he's trying LOL!
• Sometimes when Ian is fussing or crying, he will go over and say "I got you" or "you're okay" - I guess he's heard that a few times
• When one of us coughs, he SPRINTS over to pat your back. If he can't reach your back, he will hit whatever he can reach. Ha!
• "Ima" go play, "Ima" go bye bye
• He said "I miss daddy, hug and kiss" for the first time this week (2/24/16). He's never said that unprompted before.  
• Today is "day". Wear black shoes day. Go to school day. Play that day.
• If you ask him if he's superman or Gekko or anything else, he says "Noooo I'm Eli" in a very serious tone.
• When I go get him in the morning or after nap, he says the absolute sweetest "Mama" or "It's Mama" it's just so genuine and happy. It melts my heart every time. I know it won't last forever, but I look forward to it every time I get him up.
