Ian's 18 Month Checkup

Ian had his 18 month checkup this week (5/12/17). The doctor said everything looks great and he's growing just fine!

Weight: 26lbs 4oz (76.71%)
Height: 2' 8" (33.22%)
Head:48.3cm (75.27%)

He had a fun time having Mama and Daddy all to himself for a change!

I also wanted to share some things that have been going on with Ian lately:

  • Like his big brother, he looooves cars! He says "ca! ca!"
  • He went through a "diaper digger" phase (apparently that's a thing) - his teachers put him in onesies for nap to prevent it
  • He has a new found love for Elmo ("melmo!!!")
  • He loves to feed you / share food
  • Go hard or go home with pretty much anything he does - eating, kissing, etc. (when he does want to kiss/snuggle - he goes in hard)
  • Loves Brown Bear and Mickey Baby books. Loves Mickey doll too
  • He loves sitting in his room and reading. He also tries to grab things off the pages, it's so cute. Likes to read in the car (or play cars)
  • He isn't crying anymore when I drop him off at nursery at church or Mother's Day Out (he went through a phase where he cried so bad for a few months).
  • Monkey see monkey do - copies just about everything Eli does. And thinks he's just as big!
  • Imitates so many sounds - loves doing that! And facial expressions too. He loves the fish face and tries so hard to do it.
  • Has started shaking his head no to stuff. And there's no doubting it!
  • Said "nigh nigh" for first time 3/17/17 and now he has started pretending to be night night
  • He also started saying "bubbles" - too cute! He has added lots of new words lately.
  • Likes to wear Eli's shoes
  • Takes his shoes off in car (just the right one)
  • Got a couple more teeth. Has 9 total now
  • He is in 18-24 month clothes and size 4 diapers
  • He is still a great sleeper. Sleeps about 7pm-8am and takes a nap around 12:30-3:00.
