18 Month Checkup

Eli had his 18 month checkup last week (5/14/15) and everything went great. This was an appointment without shots, so that was extra nice. Eli and I played ball and read books while we waited for the doctor. Eli had just learned to catch the day before, so we were practicing that!

When the doctor walked in, I said "say hi to the doctor Eli" and Eli immediately starting waving his finger up and down (from when we read "mama called the doctor and the doctor said, no more monkeys jumping in the bed") haha! It was so funny.

Eli has grown quite a bit in the last 3 months (out of ALL of his clothes!) and while he's still on the shorter side, his weight is up there. The doctor said his BMI rose a little quicker than he would have liked, but he said he's really "meaty" and healthy so he's not concerned at all. And of course, the head is still huge. Here are his stats from this appointment:

Height: 32" (35.71%)
Weight: 27 lbs (84.43%)
 Head: 50.2 cm (98.34%)

They also did an initial screening for autism at this appointment, which was a 23 question form. Doc said no concerns there.

The doctor seemed to really enjoy his time with Eli. He said it would definitely be the happiest 18 month old he saw this month. They also played catch with the ball again at this appointment, which Eli loved of course.

Happy, healthy, GROWING boy!

  1. Eli is so adorable and I love that blonde hair! He's only 18 months old and already has a wedding under his belt! He can put that on his resume! ❤️ So cute!
