Eli-isms Volume IV

Eli has been saying some pretty funny stuff lately. I love writing these down and looking back on them, but it also makes me sad because when I look back at some of the old posts, I don't even remember some of those things. Here are a few things he's been saying/doing recently:

• "Mommy forgot something?" - any time I turn the car around, he asks this. Or if I leave the house and walk back in. Ha! Apparently I forget things a lot!
• We have a "super big problem" - I think this is from the Super Why show
• When we see hay bales while we're driving he says " there is some giant hay!!!"
• For some reason, he always says "trapped up" .... he says he's going to trap up his cars and the other day we were in the drive through line and he asked if we were trapped up.
• When we sing Old MacDonald (which is a major favorite right now)....here is how he sings the second part (on that farm he had a cow): "Arnie farmie had a cow" ...also when we're singing this and get to the animal part, I will name one and he'll say "noooooo, cow" pretty much every time.
• He uses "actually" a lot. " I'm actually just gonna go over here"
• Most things he says end in either "this time," "right now," "last night," "this morning," "for now," "right quick," "just in case" or "one more time" (the last night and this mornings are never actually right)
• When we're driving and we go through a bunch of trees he says we are in a "tree tunnel" (he pronounces it tuddel)
• Sometimes if I have to wake him up early to go somewhere and he's really not feeling it, I can say one of these things to get him more excited about getting up: tell him I have his breakfast, tell him who's on bookshelf (see below), tell him Ian's awake and wants to see him. He instantly perks up and says let's go. 
• When we go to his room for bed, he always wants to take 2 cars with him. He parks them on his bookshelf and says they will sleep there and be there when he wakes up in the morning. He ALWAYS remembers who he puts on there the next morning but still always says "who's on my bookshelf?" real mysterious like. 
• He always wants "just one more midit (minute)" he wants to play just one midit, etc. Sometimes if we say no then he'll say "just one second" ha!
• He takes his shoes/socks off right when we walk in the door...gets that from his mom.
• He loves the moon and loves to look for it every time we are outside. The other day he said "Where's the moon? It's gotta be around here somewhere."
• Sometimes when he wakes up from a nap he'll say from his crib: "Helloooooooo....anybody out there?!"
• We were talking the other day about how Jesus is in his heart, and I pointed to his heart. He said "What's Jesus doing in my shirt?" Ha!
• He can't say his "y's" so the color yellow is "ellow" and you is "ou" - it's so cute!
• He says "just hanging out" sometimes when you ask him what he's doing 
• Started saying "this is awesome" 
• He calls Dr. Pepper "Dopper Pecker" haha!
• The other day he told me "Boys like to eat burgers" ...that has Pa T written all over it 
• He has poo pooed in the potty a couple times, but not consistently. He really wants to wear those underpants and find the surprise candy! We're getting there.
