Eli-Isms Volume VI

As you can imagine with a 3 year old, Eli has been saying some hilarious stuff lately. Here are some of the ones I can remember!

Also, he likes to try out new words/sayings that he has heard, but isn't quite sure how to use them. He'll say them almost like a question, as if to say "did I use that right?" and see how it flies.
 

• What are we waiting for? Let's go!
• We were playing cars and I "fixed" one at the garage. He said "thanks, I feel like a new car again!"
• We saw a man in a cowboy hat and he said "Is that a cowboy? Does he live in the forest and be a cowboy?!"
• He went to go poo poo and said "call me if you need me"
• I asked him "why" about something and he said "cause that's the situation" 
• He said "mom I'm disappointed that I dropped that"
• The boys dropped me off to run into the grocery store and Eli said "let's leave mama at the grocery store." Chris said we can't do that and Eli said "cause she's counting on us?" Ha!
• He says "allll day night" for all day long
• That wore me out mama 
• Looking up my nose: What's in your nose mama? Me: Nothing. Eli:Just boogers? Me: Yeah probably. Eli: It's pretty dark up there mama. 
• Is it spoooooky? He got into that around Halloween
• He'll be telling a made up story and multiple times says "and at the end of the day..."
• He asked me to measure something with my ponytail (from Umizoomi)
• He was crying in bed one night and was saying "but I wanna be Superman and help people!"
• I just telled you that already (when you ask him something twice - threenager!)
• Everything for a while was "next year"
• "Where's Ian-Bo? Where's my best friend?" :)
• "What is happening here guys?!" We were talking in car and he was trying to get our attention lol
• Him and Ian were drinking milk on the couch one morning and he said "who pumped this?" When I told him a cow did, he literally was speechless, which never happens.
• Aunt Kacy asked him if he was ready for Santa to come...he said "ummm I still don't like him yet"
• I had Christmas candy out and I had regular m&ms for a while, but this day I had out peanut m&ms. He looked at them and said "the candies are growing bigger!" LOL
• We got a new step stool for his bathroom and it's exactly the same as the old one except black instead of blue. When he walked in and saw it he looked up at me, kind of shocked and said "can you turn it green next time??" 
• Pattern is "patter-in" - he told Aunt Kacy "the cars belong in a patter-in"
• Everyone is a "neighbor" that is close in proximity (at the grocery store, in the parking lot, etc.)
• We were driving one day and he said "we could make a pit stop at the diner" (where we like to eat pancakes)
• My heart loves your heart mama (as mine melted)
• I told him something the other day and he said "I don't believe you." I said "I'm telling the truth." He said "good job telling the truth mama." 
• He's really into "I promise" and "you promise?" right now
• He said "Mama do you wanna come over here and play with me? Come on!!! I'm not gonna have to tell you again!" - again with the threenager
• He says "See? That wasn't so bad" a lot after we finish something now
• I asked him the other day if he thought he would be scared climbing that tower. He said "No, I'll be fine. Come on now." 
• His best friend at school right now is Aiden. I put some cookies in Eli's lunch one day and he told me later that "Aiden called them "aireos" (oreos)" It was so funny the way he said it, like Ummmm mom, Aiden said they're called oreos, not cookies, get with it. LOL 

 

A couple of other things going on with Eli lately:

• On February 4th, we switched Eli to a big boy bed! He loves it! We are still working on teaching him to stay in his room LOL 
• We also did a crash course in potty training that same weekend. He has been doing great! No more diapers since then! Of course there have been a few accidents, but he was definitely ready!

And a little funny story:

We were shopping around in Walgreens and this lady comes up and starts talking to Eli. She talks to him for a while and asks him about his car, etc. He was very friendly and talkative with her (which isn't always the case for him). When she walked away he said "she's just a crazy lady" hahahahah! I had to stifle my laugh to tell him "well, she was a really nice lady" and all that mom stuff but I was really dying inside!
