I know I am VERY behind on blogging, but I wanted to skip ahead to Ian's 15 month checkup last week (2/24/17). The doctor said everything looks great! I asked him to watch Ian walk because I felt like his legs/hips were a little stiff, but the doctor said it's totally fine. He said especially since he's so new at it, that it is nothing to worry about! Here are Ian's stats from his appointment.
Weight: 25lbs 9oz (83.07%)
Height: 30.5" (18.42%)
Head: 47.8 cm (74.83%)
Head: 47.8 cm (74.83%)
And since I'm so behind on updates, here are a few things that have been going on with Ian lately:
- Took his first steps on 1/23/17! Slowly added a little more each day and has got it down pretty well now! He hardly ever crawls anymore.
- Currently has 5 teeth and is working very hard on another
- He has quite a few words in his vocabulary, including Eli, Mama, Dada, drink ("gee"), shoes, ball, bye, doggy, bath, book and a few others. However, he mostly just grunts (or screeches) and points for what he wants.
- There is no doubt how this kid is feeling or what he wants/needs. He knows what he wants and he definitely lets us know!
- He has started throwing his head back or laying face down on the ground when he doesn't get what he wants. Little baby tantrum!
- He is down to 1 nap a day, usually from 12:30-3:00ish
- He loves cars and trucks just like brother and loves to push the tractor or dump truck up the street too
- He still likes to play independently most of the time. He will also pull the slide down and wiggle out move when you've held him longer than he likes
- He LOOOVES water and bath time! Loves!
- He also loves music. Any and every time there is music on, he is just a bouncing and swaying. It's adorable! In the car, his little foot is tapping in his car seat.
- It's hard to explain his little personality, but he is super sweet and smiley almost all the time, but is also quite mischievous in a cute little stinker way.
Ian was being such a ham at the appointment and these pictures show what a little squirt he is. Classic Ian!
