Ian's 2 Year Checkup

Ian had his 2 year checkup in mid-November. Everything seems to be looking good and he's growing, growing, growing!!!

Weight: 28 lbs 7 oz (55th %)
Height: 2' 9.47" (31st %)

Some pics from our appointment

And a few things about Ian at this stage:
  • When he says something you don't hear, he says it quieter and quieter each time you ask "what" until he's mouthing it. Stinker!!
  • He asks to "tee tee potty" all the time! He has been doing it for a long time. We usually let him before and after nap and bed and at bath time. He sits on the potty and says "tee tee out" and then flushes and says "bye bye tee tee"
  • He loooooooves animals. And I guess this is just a natural thing because Eli really isn't into them at all.
  • TMI but he almost always poops after we put him to bed at night or nap. I guess that's his comfort zone :)
  • When we take him to bed, he lays his head on our shoulder for our song
  • He still wants "Jesus" (Jesus loves me) every night and sometimes will ask for "twinkle" but hardly makes it through that one before asking for "Jesus" instead.
  • He's starting to wrestly/tackle a little bit
  • He's talking a lot more in general. Just babbles a lot!
  • He really enjoys Mother's Day Out and he seems to do great there.
  • We were walking into church one day and the man holding the door said "He looks is like he’s hiding something" which is pretty much him all the time!
  • He kind of like grunts/growls things like “oh mannnn” or “oh yessssss”
  • If you say he can't do something he says "ah mannnnnn"
  • Pretty much anything you ask him he says "Ummmm yeah" or "ummmmm no"
  • When you tell him to look at you he says “oh” and turns his head toward you but not his eyes. Little turkey!
  • He still loves to read/look at books.
  • He loves cars just as much as big brother does. "play cars! play cars! play cars!"
  • He calls himself "Ebo" We all have called him Ian-bo pretty much his whole life and when he tries to say it, it comes out "Ebo"
  • He is so sugary sweet most of the time! And almost always happy! He can be a stubborn toot sometimes too, but he just has the sweetest little heart!
