Eli-isms Volume III

Goodness, Eli has just been cracking me up lately. He is starting to say the funniest stuff. And he is just SO much fun right now!! On our good days, I have so much fun with him and am sad when he goes to bed. A lot of the time, it's like we are almost having a real conversation. Don't get me wrong, he's still 2.5 and has those wonderful toddler tantrum moments/days but when he's not, he is so enjoyable. He is learning so much and you can see him just soaking it all in.  I am having a blast watching it! Here are some of the things he has been saying/doing lately:

• He calls everyone "kids" ...We were watching Chris' team play softball and he kept asking me "what are those kids doing?"  
• He has started saying "that's MY baby" about Ian and we'll go back and forth about who's baby he is. 
• When you ask him what he's doing, he always starts with "just"....I'm just sitting here, I'm just playing, I'm just doing sumpin.
• He started calling me "mommy" but sometimes he'll say "mom"....it's way too grown up
• He has started saying "guys." Let's go guys. Let's read a book guys. You guys ready? Hug and kiss guys, Sing it again guys. 
• He has started pluralizing everything with "es".... Truckses, grapeses, prayerses Dr. Rogerses (his doctor)
• His backseat driving has been taken to the next level. "That truck's gonna catch us, get going mommy!! They catched us." "Go now mommy" "The light is red, better stop....it's green now!" "There's a truck coming that way! Don't hit it mommy.....good job mommy." "They're right behind us....we lost them" "Be careful mommy"
• Yesterday, I turned right at a red light and he said "the light is red mommy" and I said "I know, but sometimes you can turn right on red if no cars are coming" he said "No! I don't like turning on red!" haha
• He also wants to know where all the other cars are going.  "Where's that truck going? Maybe to town? Maybe to work?"
• When something doesn't work he says "it needs a battery....daddy's gonna have to charge it"
• I was putting Ian down for a nap and Eli came in and said he wanted to say Ian's prayerses...."dear God, thank you for my mommy, thank you for my daddy, thank you for my Ian" 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
• He only ever called everything on wheels trucks for so long. Aunt Kacy was here the other day and she said "there's a truck coming down the road" he looked at her like she was crazy and said "it's a car" LOLLLL
• Sometimes if I'm singing when he's in a bad mood, he'll say "Mommy, turn off" lol
• He tee teed in potty first time 3/24/16, in his little potty. He does it pretty often now, but I think only for the candy. I'll ask him "Do you feel like you need to tee tee right now?" and he'll say "yes, I need a piece of candy" HA!
• He recently started singing his alphabet
• He was calling Uncle Justin "Aunt Justin" for a while.... I think he's got it straightened out now 
• He is a squirt! He loves to get your chair as soon as you get up...."Ima get mommy's chair!!!"
• He will say "It sure is!!" or "there sure is!" if you disagree with what he said
• He calls his plate "plape" 
• He will say something is "So cute" 
• If he says something and you're not quite sure what it is, so you say it back asking if that's it and it's not, he'll shake his head no and says "nope" lol
• Started asking "Why?" recently...thankfully it's not the over and over why yet. But if I tell him he can't do something he'll say "why, mommy, why?"
• Started saying "okay?!" after he says something. And he will say it until you respond
• When my toenail polish starts chipping off he thinks its boo-boos and he just seems so concerned...it's so sweet
• Playing Hide and Seek with him is hilarious. When he is hiding and you are looking for him, you will say "wonder if he's in there" and you can hear him say "Nope" from where he is hiding. When he is looking, he says "Hmmmm lets see. Mama where are ju?"
• He will ask "What his name is?" Doesn't matter if it's a girl or boy or grown-up, any time, any where, and he says it loud. It's so awkward sometimes!
• When we're out walking, if I stop for anything, he says "let's get going!"
• When we are playing chase and he's chasing me, he will say he needs a hug and kiss because he knows I will stop for that. Such a toot!!
• He wants to go "Up in spaceship. Eli, Daddy, Mama, and Ian too! And Bax and Brooklyn. Up to the moon."
• "Just one more minute" - he wants to stay just one more minute, play just one more minute, etc. 
• "Who's making that noise??" in the most curious voice any time he hears something.
• When I get my camera out now he says "Cheeeeese...I'm done!" Ha!
