Our littlest man turned 7 months old on the 6th! These last couple of months with him have been SO fun! We are finally starting to get into somewhat of a routine and out of the newborn stage, which can be a little overwhelming. He is starting to interact so much with us, smile when we come in the room, laugh when we're silly and get upset when he's out of baby food! It's so fun to see his little personality starting to develop. He is still very much a laid back little guy. We started foods this month and I have to say, I think it's his most favorite thing to do. Ever. When I put him in the high chair his whole face lights up and he watches my every move until I get the food to his mouth! Ha! He is just such a little light of happiness and joy and we are so thankful for him. Here are some things about Ian from this past month:
- Weighs *around* 19 pounds
- He tried several foods this month - baby oatmeal, avocados, carrots, sweet potatoes, peas and bananas
- He is trying really hard to sit up and can do it with the support of his hands in the middle
- He holds his own bottle now
- He has started scootching backwards just a little bit. He sometimes does the "rocking" thing when he's laying on his belly.
- He is getting super active and wants to be involved! When Chris gets home from work and is on the floor playing with Eli ("lay down Daddy!" is hard to ignore), Ian watches them and you can tell he wants down there. He is SO happy when he gets to get down there with them!
- He loves playing with water bottles better than any of his real toys
- He is pretty much a hip baby now!! Sometimes still a little wobbly, but it's pretty reliable. It's kind of a game changer.
- He is nursing around every 4 hours now, 4 times per day. We are doing solids once a day right now.
- He sleeps through the night most nights now and we are putting him in a sleep sack for night and naps
- Still seems to be teething, but no teeth yet. Some days they seem to really bother him and others not at all.

Big brother had a big time helping with the pictures

I just cannot believe how fast he's growing!?!
