Last week, our church had Vacation Bible School. I volunteered to work in the baby room, where Ian would be, along with my sister-in-law Katie and her son Beckett. Because we were volunteering, our older kids were able to attend VBS when they normally wouldn't be able to until kindergarten age. It was a long week of early mornings, but it was SO worth it! Eli LOVED getting to go to school with his friends and singing and playing and making crafts. I kept trying to sneak up to the worship room and get a video of his class doing their songs/dances but I never could get a good one. It was so cute! I love that Eli could be a part of this and that he was able to sing songs and learn stories about Jesus. I kept telling him each morning we were going to learn about Jesus and God and he got a little confused and thought we were going "to Jesus God." He had a boo boo one afternoon on his knee and his Aunt asked him how he got it...he said "I hurt it at Jesus." Ha! We would ask him in the evenings where he went that day and he would say "to Jesus God." I most certainly did not correct him because 1) it was adorable and 2) it was true!
I didn't get too many great pictures because it was a pretty hectic few hours each morning!!
These are just some of the crafts Eli worked on during his class. There were SO many each day! His favorite was a big box they used to make a car out of! No picture of it, but he's still driving that thing around the house!

Our room door decorations. The theme was "Road Trip Through the Bible"
Buggy rides saved the day! We took this buggy all over the church and it calmed all the babies down, every time!
One day at the end of class, I went to pick up Eli and brought him back to our room and Ian was sitting on the floor, kind of starting to fuss a little. The whole way down to our class, Eli was asking if Ian would be there and was super excited to go get him. When we got in there, Eli ran over to Ian and got down on the mat with him and was talking to him and hugging him. Ian instantly cheered up and literally embraced Eli. They were so happy to see each other. It was one of the sweetest things I've ever seen.

Staying home with the boys has allowed me to be involved in things like this and so many other things I wasn't able to before. I love it and I hope I am able to keep being a part of VBS in the future!

Those boys are the best thing EVER! Love them so much!
